Brady UX Announces 'DA: The Incubator' — A Design-First Program Helping Founders Build Real Products, Not Just Pitch Decks

Baltimore, MD – May 2025 — Brady UX, the Baltimore-based design studio known for purpose-driven UX in MedTech, EdTech, and AI, is proud to announce the upcoming launch of DA: The Incubator, a new kind of early-stage program built for founders who want to build smarter from the start.

Unlike traditional accelerators focused on pitch decks and investor readiness, DA (short for Design Alchemy) is a 6-week sprint designed to help founders shape and validate their MVP with expert design support, 1:1 mentorship, and tangible deliverables — from UX flows to branded UI kits.

"We’re not here to prep you for a demo day. We’re here to make your product make sense," says Brady Starr, Co-Founder and Product Lead at Brady UX. "Most incubators skip the hard part — the actual design. That’s what we specialize in."

DA: The Incubator’s first cohort launches July 1, 2025, and will run through August 12. While applications aren’t open yet, interested founders can view the form and get notified when submissions go live. The pilot cohort will accept 3–5 early-stage startups, solo founders, and product teams who are ready to go beyond theory and walk away with assets they can launch or pitch.

Program Highlights:

  • Tailored UX design sprint

  • Weekly mentorship and founder check-ins

  • Deliverables like wireframes, mockups, and brand systems

  • Tiers for free, paid, and equity-based participation

  • Access to a seasoned design team with experience in startup and enterprise environments

Current Mentor Lineup:

Brady UX is thrilled to welcome a diverse group of design leaders as mentors for the pilot cohort of DA: The Incubator.

  • Pavel Bukengolts is a UX and data strategy consultant with over 20 years of experience in the nonprofit and public sector, specializing in data storytelling, dashboard design, and inclusive information architecture. He brings a unique systems-thinking lens to digital design that helps founders uncover insights and make smarter decisions.

  • Vivian Li is a veteran product designer with deep 0→1 experience at companies like Intuit, Plaid, and Searchlight (acquired by Multiverse). As the first design hire on multiple teams, Vivian brings hard-won insights on what design can (and can’t) do in early-stage startups — and how to ship just enough to learn fast.

  • Olya Androsik is a design operations strategist and UX coach who has led creative teams at Fortune 500s and scaling startups alike. Her mentorship helps founders make better product decisions by integrating user empathy with operational clarity.

The program is still accepting mentor applications from experienced UX, product, and startup professionals who want to help the next wave of builders do things differently.

The team behind it:

DA: The Incubator is led by Brady Starr, a designer-turned-operator and the founder of Brady UX. Known for clarity-first product design and AI-assisted workflows, Brady has helped launch dozens of digital tools for mission-driven teams. With support from a growing roster of mentors, he’s building a space where early-stage founders can finally get the UX support they deserve.
